The Advanced Rotor Tug 80-32, also known as the ART 80-32 being 32 metres long and having a bollard pull of 80 tons. The ART 80-32 is a uniquely designed vessel with triple Z-drives and main engines giving it sufficient power to ensure for 100% bollard pull forward and astern and 65% sideways.
Albwardy Damen has successfully delivered two Advanced Rotor Tugs 8032 to Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld in August 2017. This design features three thrusters in a triangular shape and possess extremely high maneuverability which was also evident during sea trial. Together with its propulsion and a forward and aft winch the vessel also has a great redundancy level whenever either one fails.
Both vessels successfully completed the endurance and maneuverability test as well as achieved the required bollard pull of 80 tons.
Albwardy Damen is the first shipyard who built Advanced Rotor Tugs 8032 in the Middle East region with delivery of these 2 vessels. Both vessels were built in 12 months, with steel cutting for the first of two vessels started in July 2016.
Both vessels are in stock and can be inspected at Albwardy Damen - Sharjah.
