Last November, Albwardy Damen hosted the 10th edition of the Albwardy Damen Maritime Event, welcoming over 400 visitors to the yard. Together with 20 key vendors, the event provided an opportunity to connect with industry partners while showcasing our facilities, services, and ongoing projects.
With more than 20 vessels under construction and a fully occupied repair yard, visitors were able to see the yard at work. For many desk-based guests, this offered useful insight into the scale and complexity of our operations and the people behind them.
The programme included short presentations focused on Damen and vendor innovations, followed by live demonstrations of the Damen RSD-E electric tug, ASD tugs, and Multicats. These sessions encouraged practical discussion and knowledge sharing between teams, partners, and visitors.
It is great to see the event growing from strength to strength and creating an informal setting for networking and conversation. The event concluded with a barbecue, providing a relaxed opportunity for teams and partners to continue discussions and strengthen connections. Above all, the event reflected the strength of collaboration within the UAE maritime industry and the commitment of all our 2500 employees, 24/7.
