Strengthening our Regional Service Hub for the future

In focus: ✔ Regional Service Hub ✔ Sustainable growth ✔ Operational excellence

Damen Services Middle East continues to strengthen its regional service capabilities, reflecting our ambition for sustainable growth, operational excellence, and our strong partnership with Albwardy Damen.

As of 1 November 2025, Mathijs van Schaik has joined the team as Service Hub Manager, relocating to Dubai from Cape Town. With extensive experience at Damen Technical Cooperation delivering patrol vessels, tugs, and workboats worldwide, he will focus on service delivery, project execution, and customer satisfaction, supporting the continued success of Albwardy Damen.

To meet growing demand for localized, high-quality services, the team has expanded with the appointment of Aby Sebastian and Ruben de Ruiter as Account Managers, and Ahmed AlSultan as the first Saudi Arabian Field Service Engineer. A second Saudi-based team member will be announced soon.

Supporting this growth, a new office has been established in Hamriyah Free Zone (Phase 2), alongside the shipyard, providing an efficient base for collaboration and coordination.

The expanded organization supports LTSA and ILS projects, CAT engine and thruster overhauls, and warranty support for the growing fleet of Damen vessels in the region. Close collaboration between Damen Services and Albwardy Damen remains key as we build a resilient service organization for the future.
